  1. Committee News
  • Once again the Courtesy Bus proved to be very successful during the Easter break. Thanks to our volunteer drivers for their commitment and service. Greatly appreciated by all.
  • Joker Poker – congratulations to Mick Carlton on winning the first competition.
  • Thanks to all our members and guest for their continued support over Easter. A great atmosphere was present especially on Sunday for the fishing competition and the music afternoon.
  • Easter Raffle – 1st Beryl Mewah  2nd Leanne Whittenbury 3rd Michelle Wallis
  • Our cheque for $1000 was presented to Carmel Hand, Representative of the Michael Callanan trust. We all hope Camel a speedy recovery/improvement with his health.
  • A working bee will be held at the Club on the 17th May starting at 9.30. All welcome.

 

  1. Fishing Competitions

Thanks to Peter Ryan & Associates for their sponsorship of this event. Twenty one fisherpersons enjoyed a morning of fishing from boats, rocks and the pier with a total of 12 fish being weighed in.

The Reichler family took out the three Senior Awards and Skye Stewart was the Junior winner. Her dad, Scott was the lucky winner of the NPW award (no prize won)

Our next fishing comp is on May 3rd  – sponsored by Peter Wheal Landscaping. Lines down after 6.00 a.m. – weigh in 12.00 until 12.30 and a free BBQ lunch from 1.00pm.

Thanks to Michael Reichler and Stephen Love who were responsible for roasting a pig and some beef for our Easter lunch. Thanks to Ian and Annie for salads and organization.

 

  1. Grey Redevelopment

Currently a data base is being developed from member responses to our call for sub committee representation. An email has been sent re. LAAC Future Planning to these members to attend a meeting on Saturday 6th June – Queen’s Birthday long weekend. Times and final agenda for the morning will be forwarded shortly.
